Configuring Checkout Questions
The "Checkout Questions" section allows you to define specific questions your ReadyChatAI bot will ask customers during the checkout process for orders or service bookings. This ensures you collect all necessary information to fulfill requests accurately and efficiently.

The main interface for managing Checkout Questions.
Note: Although Checkout Questions appears under the AI Configuration category in the sidebar, its URL path is under Order Management. This is because checkout questions directly affect the ordering and booking flow.
Understanding Checkout Question Categories
At the top of the page, you'll find tabs to categorize your checkout questions based on what they relate to:
- Store: For general questions related to any store purchase (e.g., delivery address, contact number, promo code).
- Products: For questions specific to certain products (e.g., size, color, customization details).
- Service: For questions relevant to booking services (e.g., preferred date/time, specific requirements for the service).
Selecting a tab will display the questions configured for that particular category.
Managing Checkout Questions
Each category tab displays a table of configured questions with the following columns:

| Reorder | Numbered position — controls the sequence in which questions are asked during checkout |
| Question | The actual text of the question presented to the customer |
| Action | Menu button to edit or delete the question |
The header shows the total count of questions (e.g., "All Store Questions: 5") along with management tools:
- Filter — Filter and sort questions by various criteria
- Export — Download your list of checkout questions for review or backup
- Add New Questions — Add new questions to the current category (e.g., "Add New Store Questions")
Adding a New Question
- Click "Add New Store Questions" (or the equivalent button for Products or Service tabs)
- A modal dialog titled "Checkout Question" will appear
- Type the question you want the bot to ask in the input field
- Click Add to save the question to your list
Reordering Questions
The numbered reorder column allows you to control the sequence in which questions are asked. Consider the logical flow from the customer's perspective — start with general information and move to more specific details.
Why Configure Checkout Questions?
- Essential Information Collection: Ensure you get all the details needed to process an order or service request (e.g., shipping address, contact details, specific preferences)
- Reduced Follow-Up: By asking the right questions upfront, you minimize the need for manual follow-up with customers

Best Practices
- Be Clear and Unambiguous: Phrase questions in a way that is easy for customers to understand. Avoid jargon.
- Ask Only What's Necessary: A long list of questions can deter customers. Only ask for information that is essential for fulfilling their request.
- Use Different Categories: Leverage the Store, Products, and Service tabs to keep questions organized and relevant to the context.
- Review and Refine: Periodically review your checkout questions. Are they still relevant? Could they be clearer? Are you missing any crucial information?
