Managing Categories
Categories help you organize your products logically, making it easier for both you and your bot to manage and reference your inventory. Customers also benefit from a structured presentation of your offerings.

The main interface for managing product categories.
Category Metrics
At the top of the page, a Category Metrics section displays three overview cards with a date range picker:
- Total Categories: The total number of product categories created, with percentage change vs. previous period.
- Recently Added: Categories added within the selected date range.
- Trending Categories: Categories that are frequently accessed or associated with popular products.
A "More Analytics" button next to the date picker provides access to detailed category analytics and performance data.
All Categories Table
The table header shows the total count (e.g., "All Categories: 21") with management tools:
- Filter — Sort and narrow down categories
- Export — Download your category data
- Add New Categories — Create a new product category
The table columns:

| Name | The category name with an icon |
| Description | A brief description of the category |
| Actions | Menu button to edit or delete the category |
Both Name and Description columns are sortable by clicking the column header.
Adding a New Category
- Click the "Add New Categories" button
- Enter the category name
- Optionally add a description
- Click Save to create the category
Best Practices
- Use Clear Names: Choose descriptive, intuitive category names that customers will easily understand
- Keep It Organized: Create a logical category structure that mirrors how customers think about your products
- Review Regularly: Remove unused categories and consolidate similar ones
- Link Products: Ensure every product is assigned to the appropriate category for accurate bot responses
